Racing at Chepstow dates back to 1926. This is the most southerly of the three Welsh racecourses, situated in 370 acres of Piercefield Park. 5r6u6y
The Welsh Grand National u50h
Today, the course stages the Welsh Grand National, which has been sponsored by Coral for over 40 years. Busy all year round, it also hosts Flat racing – over a two-day meeting in 1933 the famed Sir Gordon Richards 11 consecutive winners there.

Road: Chepstow is on the A466 Chepstow to Monmouth Road, near the Severn Bridge. From the M4 take the M48, exiting at Junction 2.
Rail: Direct trains run from Birmingham, Cardiff, Cheltenham Spa, Derby, Gloucester, Newport and Nottingham to Chepstow station, which is half a mile from the racecourse. A bus shuttle service operates from Chepstow train station to the racecourse via the town’s bus station. The service also operates from Newport to the racecourse from the city’s train station.
